Herbs For Acne

There are several herbs for acne treatment. Some actually help acne while others help to cover it up.

Sandalwood apart from being very aromatic, can be used as a paste. It is very smooth and when applied to the body can create an unblemished look.

In the Orient, tumeric can be used for infections, boils and help in recovery of an accident. It has been used for centuries. Another herb, used in the Orient is basil. Basil is thought of as on the purest of plants, and not just the plant but the soil where it grows. It is said to be so good that if it is used in the bath it will heal any skin complaint.

Burdock, dandelion root, sarsaparilla and red clover all promote a good healthy blood stream so these can help acne as well.

Lastly some good herbs for acne that have anti-inflammatory properties and are good for the skin are witch hazel, tea tree oil, licorice root and calendula.
