Heey.

I see some of you guys have questions about the Aloe Vera.
I myself live in the Caribbean where we are loaded with it, and I also have problems with pimples.. so i decided to try Aloe Vera.. and to be honest it works AMAZINGLY well.. it makes your skin soft and yes.. it is going to take time for the zits to go away.
I just go outside and cut off a piece from the plant itself and just apply the juice that comes from inside the stem.
It DOES smell really bad, so I suggest putting it on at night before you go to bed and just wash it off in the morning.

If you have any more questions I'd love to answer them. =)

RE: rose and all the others

i tried many many products including pro activ , it didnt work really very well with me , perhaps it needed more time and the company are hard to deal with they keep recomending more of their stupid products every time they are there to make 500% profit over us , i also tried prozac which was good for me , excellent for a friend of mine , then at my last year at high school , u know the prom and all that is comming up so my my sister who works at a pharmacy recomended for me RETAIN A , now this is important , it depends on ure skin , for me the cream made it worse (perhaps the cream is for oily skin ) for my sister it worked great... but the gel OMG people it just took about 2 weeks to feel a difference then after 3-4 month i sware that i had a celebrity looks , my face was awesome , and i wish i can post a pic to see the difference that it made for me , the problem it said i should keep using it also after the acne goes away for 6 month , i was like who cares i dont have any more acne im the happiest dude on the planet (cuz my acne was really bad , no really bad i used to not go to skool for it ) the rest of my high skool was awesome and the pictures of me were great as well , but after like 4-7 month which is nw , i forgot when did i stop taking it .... i got it back and it is just like before ,the thing that is driving me crazy that i cant get it in the usa with out a doctor perscription or some thing , i may head to canada and get 4 containers of this RETAIN A GEL ,,, it was the best thing ever... now im using netrogeena acne system , i like that they have the ful kit , but nothing copared to retain , put it on and ure face has less acne , but becarefull not to put alot cuz it is a bit strong so it may hurt u alot and cause alot of irritation and redness if u put alot of it ...and it flamable dont try to smoke or ull burn ure face and eye brows naah just jidding .... hope this works with every one , and i hope i can get the retain a gel with the orange line on it some how ...

Hey Linda,

I'm in the same boat as you and started doing some research on the internet last night. Take a look at this website
www.homemademedicine.com

Last night I apply 100% pure tea tree oil on my pimples on my back and this morning i was amaze to see that they were almost gone. I put more oil evewhere on my back this morning and just now and no new pimples came out yet. Let me know if anything you're trying works. I hope I help you a little...

Some things that help

*Good diet - vegs& fruits ditch the meat/dairy/junk food. Go for vitamins containing vitamin E and drink LOTS of water each day

*ACV- Apple cider vinegar, it disinfects and helps restore PH balance of your skin

*BP - Benzoyl Peroxide is really the only cure for acne, put a layer of it on your acne before sleeping

*Aloe Vera - Natural aloe vera or the gel on the skin disinfects and moisturizes

*Moisturize - Always moisturize your skin every day with Vitamin E or Olive Oil.

*Epsom salt - A bath of this will help draw out toxins in your body and kill acne

*Always go for NATURAL cures. They work much better and aren't loaded with harmful chemicals

Hello,

I have a couple of question for this last post

*Epsom salt
Can you just wash your face with this? or soak a wash cloth with thisor how to?

*ACV- Apple cider vinegar, it disinfects and helps restore PH balance of your skin

Do you do this straight like with a cotton ball or wash somehow with it? I have heard of this but was not sure how or what to do?

*Aloe Vera
more on the Aloe Vera please.
Should you use 100% lotion or gel?
I tried the gel(100%) a few time and it was so sticky it was undo able.

THANKS...
--------------------------------

Now a little about what things I have tried and do.

About pro active..
I used it for about 3 years. I did like it but just hated dealing with the company.
THEY ARE AWFUL TO WORK WITH!!
I did not like the astringent did nothing for me.
I used the cleanser and the daily oil control lotion and then the repairing lotion. Seemed like it worked better than just using Benzoyl Peroxide. Seemed to work better than Clinic's skin program, and worked lots better than the Mary Kay program.

As you can tell I have tried a few thing through the years.

I currently am using the Sheer Cover Makeup which I love.
But there cleanser and the such were awful. Made me straight Oil. Wish I could find a One Stop shopping .

I just still have a hard time from getting Shinny during the day. Everyone says that you get drier (Less oily) as you get older. Ha I am 42 and think I am Oilier than when I was 20.
Anyone know of a good makeup or solution besides like blotting and loose powder with a brush?

I always listen to experience.
even though I know we are all different.
Thanks to all!!

Hey all, I just had to mention this in case it might help someone else out there...

I never really suffered from acne too much as a teen but now, as an adult, I've recently had bumps popping up on my forehead, bridge of nose, and even under my eye which really bothered me. I went to see one dermatologist and she sliced off the bump under my eye as a biopsy though I knew it wasn't cancer (but they like to make the extra bucks you know).

Anyway, it left a nasty red scar and, worse, the stupid bump came back slightly to the left of the original one! Between the redness and the bump casting a shadow on it too, it looked 3 times as bad as the original bump I went in to have removed! Man I was bummed. I mean why did it have to be right under my eye of all places?

So I went to see another dermatologist a few months later. He said all these bumps I have, including the one that came back under my eye, are pupa (sp?) acne...basically just overactive sebaceous glands. To my surprise he said there was a prescription cream that would not only shrink up the bumps, but also lighten the scar. I've been on it now for about 2 months and it's really working! It's called Tazorac. The tube is 30gms and under the brand name it reads "tazarotene gel 0.1%".

I do know this is apparently the stronger version of this cream because when he was calling out the prescription to his nurse, he specified "go with the stronger one". Well, it did the trick!

I thought I was going to be stuck with those nasty bumps and that ugly scar the rest of my life, but the forehead bumps are almost gone already and the bump/scsr under my eye is just barely noticeable to me. I feel that with another 3-6 months of using this cream, it will soon no longer be a concern for me and just a bad memory.

Anyway, just happy to have found something that really worked for my situation and wanted to share it in case it might help anyone else with this type of acne. Too bad it's not over-the-counter and you will need a script for it but I highly suggest you ask your derm if this medication would be right for you as well!!

I tried it a couple of years ago, for few months. I thought it worked a wee bit the first couple of weeks, but then it stopped. I guess it works on some ppl but not on others...the cream would also make my skin very oily and shiny...
